Shah Rukh Khan’s Dream project ‘Ra.One’, which is all set for release this Diwali on Oct 26th. Shah Rukh is playing leading role while Kaeena Kapoor and Arjun Rampal co – starring in this Science fiction thriller. It is directed by Anubhav Sinha and jointly produced under Khan’s production company Red Chillies Entertainment and Eros International.
This much hyped supe hero film has been in production for over a year and is touted to be Indian cinema’s most expensive venture. Ra. One or Random Access – Version 1.0 is high on special effects with a team from Hollywood. The director ensures that the Ra.One will become a landmark SFX film for Bollywood. The film will be released in both 2D and 3D formats across 3,200 screens in India, along with its dubbed versions in Tamil, Telugu and German.
The film added cameos Sanjay Dutt and Priyanka Chopra also.
Music was composed by Vishal-Shekhar while the lyrics were penned by Atahar Panchi, Vishal Dadlani and Kumaar.
For the movie promotion, a custom built channel was launched on leading online video platform YouTube. The movie channel on YouTube will offer users all videos of the RA.One premiere, events planned in London, footage of the star cast as well as Shah Rukh’s thoughts. It will also host games and give chance to users to create promos from clips, music and dialogues of the film. Shah Rukh will engage with fans on the Google plus and one of the first Indian celebrities to be in this social media platform.
Targeting the young minds the movie has partnered Linc pens and Horlicks too. SRK also recently introduced McDonald’s happy meals containing a Ra.One robot miniature toy – G.One. The creative agency of the advertisind campaign in India is McCann Erickson and the media agency is Starcom.
