After the phenomenal  and box office success of ‘Pranchiyettan and the Saint‘, writer- director Renjith is back with a new movie titled as ‘Indian Rupee‘.  It is a family drama thriller.

Prithviraj who debuted with the Renjith movie ‘Nandhanam’ will be joining once again with him through Indian Rupee. He plays Jayaprakash, a young man who dreams of making it big as a real-estate broker. He considers money is everything in his life.

Veteran actor Thilakan is coming back to commercial cinema through this film with a powerful character. Jagathy Sreekumar, Lalu Alex, Shweta Menon, Sreelatha, Vijayan V Nair, Mamukoya, Tini Tom, Mallika (of ‘Autograph’ fame), Zeenath and Babu Namboothiri, also play major roles in the film.

Renjith has teamed up with ace cinematographer S.Kumar for the first time. Musical score would be composed by  popular  Ghazal singer Shahabaz Aman.

Prithviraj is also producing the movie, along with Santosh Sivan and Shaji Natesan under their banner, August Cinema.

‘Indian Rupee’ will hit the  theaters as an early October release…
