Adobe Launched Primetime – Fully Integrated Video Technology Platform

Digital content technologist Adobe launched Primetime, fully integrated video technology platform offers video publishing, analytics and advertising platforms which aims to provide end to end video solutions for video publishers. Viewers on all four major platforms: Windows, Mac, iOS and Android will be able to use the output.

As part of the first phase of bringing the platform to market, Adobe is making ‘Primetime Highlights’ available immediately. Primetime Highlights enables a viewing experience that is smooth and comparable to traditional TV broadcasts with seamless content and ad transitions.

Major components of Primetime include, Adobe Auditude, its ad management and monetization platform; the Adobe Digital Marketing Suite, a group of analytics and optimization products; Adobe Access, which allows for secure delivery of content; Adobe streaming technologies; Adobe Pass authentication technologies; and Primetime Highlights, the new clip publishing tool.

Adobe Auditude ad platform enabling a single workflow for creating and monetising live video clips in real time. Video publishers are able to deliver ad supported clips that are instantly available – even while an event is still ongoing – making content more timely and less expensive to produce.

Primetime combines site-side analytics from Adobe’s Digital Marketing Suite with ad analytics from Auditude to provide revenue-base analytics used to increase revenue and engagement.

Adobe Access 4 will add support for native iOS apps in the spring of 2012, says Adobe. The new HLS support adds to Access’s existing RTMP and HDS support. Additionally, Adobe’s streaming technologies will support MPEG DASH.
